How it works

 

1. An appointment is made (please go to our contact page for relevant times). In order to make the service run smoothly and efficiently we have set up an appointment system so as to give each member an appointed time, which lasts approximately 20 minutes. It will give you the opportunity to obtain more information about the service, register and ask any relevant questions you may have, as well as giving you time to look at the profiles once registered.

 

2. Passport/ID (with photo)/Valid Visas need to be shown to prove ID, legal status and age.

3. Membership fee needs to be paid (we do not accept cards at the moment)

4. We register your personal contact details that are only kept for our own use. Names, email addresses and telephone numbers are kept on a separate database that only admin can access (not on the form for privacy and security reasons).

 

5. We will give you a username and password to log into our online database and send you an email receipt.

 

6. All members need to upload their profiles online and agree to the terms and conditions and the profiles will all be anonymous without names and contact details.

 

7. People cannot register online, usernames and passwords are given to members after they come to the office to register. Only members have access to this database.

 

8. If there are any matches we will send the profiles to your email each week.

 

9. You cannot contact anyone on the database, however you can express interest in any profiles you like. The other member will receive an alert letting them know you are interested and they have the chance to read through yours. They can then either express interest back or decline it. If interest is expressed back we can either arrange a meeting for you in the masjid or with the sisters permission we can give the brother her wali details to meet elsewhere.

 

10. You can upload a photo and you have the option to hide it and show it to those you are interested in only.

 

12. Non members will have the chance to make a quick search to see if it's worthwhile registering with us by finding out if we have specific ethnic groups/age categories on our database. A number will be displayed with the number of search results for the query. Profiles will not be shown to non members.
