SAKINAH
"Our aim is to build trust in the community by providing a confidential and holistic service for needs of ethnic minorities. We believe that a human being will flourish in the right conditions, which consist of respect, non judgement, good hospitality, sensitivity and compassion to individual needs. We hope to create an environment which will bring a sense of well-being by giving to others what we would want for ourselves."
We are an Organisation who are dedicated in serving and building "trust" in the community.
SAKINAH was established due to an interest in the community to access a counselling service which specialized in cultural and religious issues. We offered confidentiality, compassion, non judgement and worked sincerly with our clients. Over the years we recognised that there was a great need for the community to have trust in all areas of their lives whether it was personal, buisness or other matters. Acknowledging this need we expanded our service and developed other projects.

ISLAMIC CIRCLES COUNSELLING SERVICE
This service has been organised due to the increasing number of social problems within the Muslim community and the pitiful lack of support from mosques and Muslim organisationsin addressing such issues. The sessions will be run by experienced and practicing Muslim counsellors, and both brothers and sisters will be available. We hope to offer a confidential and professional service to all Muslims with concerns ranging from personal, social, family or academic worries to longer term, often more complex, psychological problems. Attendees will benefit from a one-to-one service.
Ustadah Umm Asim is a married mother of 3 with over 20 years of community experience. Currently she works as a counsellor in the Trinity Centre London and runs a support group for victims of Domestic Violence. She is a qualified counsellor and specialises in Islamic counselling and meditation services for women and couples.
