The information on this page has been provided for you to read, so that you may have an understanding as to why we are charging a fee for membership.
First of all, £100 is a one off registration fee and it lasts the whole year. Nothing else is to be paid.
Unfortunately this project isn't receiving any financial funding, so we have had to run this independently online. We stick to the same Islamic principles, but instead of taking appointments in an office, we take them over the phone.
Also a part of it goes to charity, so your money is going to a good place inshallah.
We are not here to make big profits. We struggled a lot to set this up for the benefit of the Muslim Community. We are not a money making matchmaking business site, but in general one would pay the fee for Afaf and be at rest they are in a genuine service rather than register with online sites that are accessible to all. (Our applicants have to pass an initial phone interview before registering).
This service attracts people, who are serious and can support a wife. If a brother can't afford £100 then he won't be able to financially support a wife and sisters won't show much interest anyway and serious sisters would pay to find a decent brother. To find decent brothers these days is very difficult and we are trying to attract the decent God fearing brothers to this service, as well as the good sisters. £100 a year is very little to pay for such a service and is the same fee SingleMuslim.com charge. We are trying to make it good value for money as we possibly can. We are expecting also that if the sister cannot afford to pay the fee due to unemployment then her wali could buy her a membership to help her out, as we charge the same rates for sisters, but they have a 6 month option unlike brothers.
We are making it worth the fee inshallah. Most people take advantage of free and cheap rates unfortunately and attract all the time wasters. Our members need to be permanent residents so questions about this will be asked in the initial phone interview.
We get the wali involved to ensure the protection of the sisters and respect of the brothers. No online service would do that for you. Online sites charge you monthly just to make a profile so brothers can contact sisters and vice versa. That's it.
It takes hours of our time, lots of effort, dedication and looking after people and we are aiming to attract young people mainly and help them get married to avoid fitna in this country.
So just a simple break down of what's included in the membership fee:
1. Membership for 1 year
2. Staff available to answer emails and call back people
3. If you fill out the Monday Matches Form we will let you know of profiles you may like. You will also have exclusive access to our members-only database to view all the profiles
4. A part of the membership fee goes towards orphan charities and gets handed to them personally inshallah, as we are aware of people who are looking after many
5. You will be able to look through profiles of very genuine and serious people for marriage and no time wasters alhamdulilah, as we only aim to attract the serious
6. We have a good filter system, so no one need worry about being approached for marriage for the visa/passport and time wasters etc
7. There is legal protection, as each member signs a declaration that their data is all honest and true
8. An Islamic marriage service that complies fully with the Quran and Sunna. Contact/Meetings can only be made via us once a match has been made to keep everything genuine and safe. Our policy is to only pass on the wali details where possible
9. Residency checks to seek the serious applicants from all over the UK
